Intended use: This product is used to qualitatively detect EGFR gene amplification in paraffin-embedded lung cancer tissue sections from patients with confirmed non-small cell lung cancer. The product has not been combined with specific drugs in clinical trials, and only its detection performance on target gene mutations has been validated.

EGFR mutations are significantly related to tumor sensitivity to tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) (the sensitivity of patients with mutations is superior to patients with amplification), so the relevant clinical guidelines require detection of EGFR mutation before use of EGFR. The detection for EGFR gene amplification can be continued for patients with wild-type EGFR to screen the potential target population with gene amplification that cannot be covered by mutation detection.

The paraffin-embedded lung cancer tissue sections of patients diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer are used as the detection object, and the amplification of EGFR gene in non-small cell lung cancer cells is detected by FISH. The detection results of this product only represent those of EGFR gene, and provide a reference for clinicians to individualize medication.
